I personally know people with heavy disorders and it is so emotionally hard to deal with I need to joke about it or I wouldn't be able to process it and would fall into continous deep depression and worse.
Not because I find people with mental or other disorders worse people or lower or anything but because joking with it helps us process the situation these people have to deal with. The latter part is also different for people. I per se think that you can joke about absolutely anything as long as you do it to make people laugh not degrading some. You know humour is different and most people understand that jokes are part of dealing with emotionally hard situations.
